KOSH Info, which originated in the Chamber, is now once more part of the Chamber office, bringing a host of new and varied benefits to our members. The website, located at www.koshinfo.co.za, is currently undergoing a major transformation - including a new look, improved functionality, and more news - and the new look goes live in the very near future. The final meeting for 2002 took place on Thursday, 21 November, and the Chamber closes on Friday, 20 December 2002 and opens again on Monday, 6 January 2003. Some highlights this past year, for both the Chamber and the community, include: The Chamber's involvement in the Global Enterprise Olympics and the very successful Inauguration Cocktail function was very well attended and enjoyed by all. The Klerksdorp GET (Global Enterprise Trendsetters) was the SA National winning team and was presented with the SACOB Wesvaal Chamber of Business floating trophy. This year has seen much closer co-operation and good relations between various business organisations to speak with one voice of business. We are in the process of reviving Business Watch and have formed a special committee to address this issue with the co-operation of the SAPS. Restructuring of the Chamber - KOSH Info which originated in the Chamber is once again part of the Chamber office, with many varied benefits to our members. Our Annual Banquet was held on 1 November and was the highlight of the year where our Business Achievers were awarded for their contribution to the local economy. The Proudly Klerksdorp campaign was started under the leadership of Marlene Dreyer and several of our committed members. A breakfast for ladies (Violent Crime Against Women) was held on 13 November and was attended to capacity. The purpose of the breakfast was to create awareness and preparedness amongst women against possible attack or abuse. On Tuesday 3 December, the NASA Certificate Presentation Ceremony will be held in the Art Hall at the City Centre at 18h00.
