For Your Information

Details on Sector Policing in Klerksdorp are now available on the KOSH Info website. We have also added a section for technology news to the chamber website.

Mrs Else Philips has managed to put two teams together for The Enterprise Olympics 2003 despite the fact that schools are in the middle of exams during the competition.

This year the teams will include a number of children who have been hand picked by Else from historically disadvantaged areas in Klerksdorp. The teams are currently being prepared for the competition by Else.

Last year the Klerksdorp Team came second and is looking forward to a win this year. The City Council of Klerksdorp is the main sponsor of the event and congratulate Mrs Philips on her vigilant efforts to promote this international competition. Else is passionate about school goers becoming entrepreneurs and continuously strives to promote entrepreneurship within our local schools.

The Enterprise Olympics will be held on 18 & 19 June 2003 and will once again be hosted in Klerksdorp. Good luck to our two local teams who will be participating.

For more information on this event please do not hesitate to contact Else Philips on 083 320 7002 or Sandy Botha on 082 814 3282.

The City of Klerksdorp won the award for the Cleanest City in the North West Province.

We are now a finalist for the national Cleanest City Campaign.

Congratulations to all departments especially Community Services and Economic Affairs and Corporate Communication and the Cleanest City campaign Committee who were involved in this sterling effort to Keep our City Clean and especially the community, business and schools who took so much trouble to assist the City Council of Klerksdorp in our ongoing endeavour to keep the city of people clean.

Our work has only just begun. Let's all get behind this campaign and win the million.
