The Global Network, an International Trade Consulting Firm based in Gujarat, India, will be leading a Trade Delegation from the Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC) to South Africa on 29 January to 8 February 2003. The focus areas of the delegation are home furnishings and textiles including carpets, curtains and various types of linen.

Meetings have been arranged in Johannesburg on 29th and 30th January, Cape Town from 31st to 5th February and Durban from 6th to 8th February 2003.

Travel & Tourism

From 20 to 22 February 2003, the Klerksdorp City Council will be hosting the Tourism Lekgotla 2003 in Klerksdorp in conjunction with the North West Parks & Tourism Board.

This event will be hosted over a period of three days. The Council, with the community's assistance and support, will be responsible for the first two days and the North West Parks & Tourism Board for the last day, highlighted by the 2003 Tourism Awards gala dinner on Saturday evening.

Wholesale & Retail Sectoral Determination

The Retailers Association will be holding workshops around the country on the new Wholesale and Retail Sectoral Determination, which replaces the current governing Wage Determination 478 on 1 February 2002.
