Supply and Delivery of General Hardware.

Sealed tenders, duly endorsed "Tender FS 11/2003: General Hardware", are hereby invited and will be received by the undersigned up until 11h00 on Thursday, 6 November 2003.

Sealed tenders must be placed in the tender box in the foyer of the Civic Centre, Pretoria Street, Klerksdorp.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted, and Council reserves the right to accept any portion of any tender.

Tenders will be adjudicated according to the Preferential Procurement Policy of Council based on the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act no. 5 of 2000.

Sealed tenders, duly endorsed "Tender EE 2003/13: Replacing of Low Voltage lines with Bundle Conductor", addressed to the Municipal Manager, PO Box 99, Klerksdorp, 2570 and to be placed before the closing date and time in the tender box in the foyer of the Civic Centre, Pretoria Street, Klerksdorp are hereby invited and will be received by the undersigned up until 11h00 on Thursday, 13 November 2003 for the replacing of low voltage lines with bundle conductor.

A compulsory site meeting will be held in the Office of the Manager: Electrical Engineering on Tuesday, 4 November 2003 at 09:30.

In terms of the Preferential Procurement Policy of the City Council of Klerksdorp, [Clauses (7.3) and (8.1)], it is required that all suppliers of goods and/or services to the Council, register on the Council's database.

The City Council is committed to placing orders on an equitable manner, and where possible, on a rotational basis, favouring local, but not excluding non-local, suppliers.
